Tulsa man arrested by Mayes County Sheriff for child exploitation

The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) conducted an operation with the child exploitation unit that resulted in the arrest of a Tulsa man.

According to MCSO, George Mathu allegedly exchanged texts with a minor for sexual gratification.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, Mathu agreed to meet the child but was stopped by MCSO.

The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Pryor Creek Police Department and the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service.
