Forsyth High School right-handed pitcher Tristan Hunter has communicated with several MLB clubs and could be selected in this coming week’s MLB draft.

Hunter, the Class 3 Player of the Year last season, has completed his senior year and is signed to play baseball at the University of Kentucky.

Hunter’s name doesn’t appear in most MLB Draft databases, but the interest is there. There was a high school game during the 2024 season where about a dozen scouts lined up in the Panthers bullpen to watch him throw.
