Bicyclist taken to hospital by Careflight after hitting vehicle in Springfield, suspect arrested

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – CareFlight was dispatched to a scene in Clark County.

Springfield police told 2 NEWS officers responded to the area of ​​the 1500 block of Kenton Street on reports of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle.

Police at the scene said the bicyclist was a man in his 20s who was taken by CareFlight to the hospital for injuries.

A 30-year-old female suspect is now in custody. Police say she exited the car and was located nearby. The vehicle involved in the crash appeared to have front-end damage and was found on Beacon Street, a few blocks away from the incident.
