Two Jamestown residents are facing drug charges after a search warrant was executed at 613 Newland Ave.

Richard E. Pearson Jr., 47, and Kayla M. Slagle, 34, were charged after members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Regional Drug Task Force from the south level executed the warrant on the lower apartment with the assistance of Jamestown Police Department SWAT. Team.

Pearson and Slagle were located at the residence. After the residence was secured, detectives searched the property and found a Smith and Wesson M&P that had previously been reported stolen to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, 41.8 grams of powder cocaine, 20.8 grams of crack cocaine, 3 .6 grams of methamphetamine, 1.1 grams of fentanyl. , two Alprazolam pills, 25 suboxone strips, $200 in US currency, a digital scale, baking soda and packaging materials. Pearson and Slagle were arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Pearson, a two-time convicted felon, and Slagle are charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal possession of fourth degree possession of stolen property, two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Pearson is charged with a third count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for the suboxone strips. Both are being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
