Video: Penta El Zero Miedo comments on AEW rumors, possible jump to WWE – PWMania

Penta El Zero Miedo commented on his rumored AEW contract and interest from WWE on Monday.

During an interview with COMIENDO CARNITAS, AEW’s The Lucha Bros member addressed rumors that his contract with the company would be up in August or September of this year.

“It was just a rumor, never a request to me or my agent,” he said. “Meanwhile, I came in when AEW offered a contract. The rumor was made because my contract expires in August – September and when that rumor came out now, I had forgotten about it (chuckles) and then my agent confirmed it. You know how information can be spread on social media and how it can be misinterpreted. I don’t know how that information leaked about my contract expiring and I prefer to focus on my present, and my present is currently with AEW. If a company like WWE wants to offer me something, I would have to evaluate because there is a lot of interest on the way.”

He continued: “A lot of people depend on me, from my merchandise people, the people who work at my restaurant, who work at the gym, at the school, and people can depend on Penta, not just me. There is nothing tangible. If it were something tangible, we should evaluate it, check what is more convenient both financially and in the ring. Someone told me it was like playing for Barcelona when you should be playing for Real Madrid. I see that prospect, but I’m not that young and it would be my last big contract. I have no problems with any company and I am here to work and bring my best. I understand that I moved a lot of people with my character both in and out of fights and I think that can influence more people in either company. I am calm now, but always aware, but now there is nothing tangible.”

Additionally, the popular masked wrestling star addressed whether or not he would be interested in making the switch to WWE.

“It would be a good episode in my career, but I don’t like doing fantasy books. If it happens, it happens. I’m focused on AEW and I’m happy where I am right now. Of course, there are some complaints, such as a greater focus on projection and rivalries, as is the case with every fighter and company.”
