Kenchenahalli land grab: Bollywood singer Lucky Ali moves Lokayukta against IAS officer

Bengaluru: Famous Bollywood singer Maqsood Alibetter known as Lucky Ali, complained to the Karnataka Lokayukta against IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri.

Ali, son of late comedian and film producer Mahmood Ali, said in his complaint that Sindhuri had encroached on the land belonging to his Trust at Kenchenahalli near Yelahanka New Town in the city.

Ali named six people in her complaint, including Sindhuri, her husband Sudhir Reddy, brother-in-law Madhusudhan Reddy, ACP of Yelahanka New Town Manjunath, Sub-Inspector of Yelahanka New Town Police Station and Taluk Surveyor Manohar of Yelahanka Taluk Survey Office.

He filed a similar complaint in 2022 as well, besides sharing the same in a series of posts on his ‘X’ account on Thursday, claiming that the property belonging to him near Kenchenahalli in Yelahanka New Town was encroached upon.

Ali’s family claim to have lived on the farm, which falls within the scope of the Trust, for the past 50 years.

Sindhuri, meanwhile, in a press release, denied any wrongdoing and also refused to comment further, saying there was a temporary injunction against Ali and he would be on trial.
