SLCPD is looking for hit-and-run driver

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are asking for the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver.

The accident happened around 1:30 am on June 14. Police said a Ford Explorer hit a 41-year-old woman in a parking lot behind 1472 South State Street. She suffered life-threatening injuries.

The two people in the SUV got out and checked on the woman, but then left the scene. The police happened to find her during an unrelated call. The woman is now in stable condition.

Police are looking for a newer model, light-colored Ford Explorer with a sunroof. Anyone with information about the suspects or the SUV is asked to call police at 801-799-3000 and case reference number 24-130079.
