FARGO (KFGO) – A motorcyclist was arrested early Thursday following a crash in downtown Fargo.

An officer attempted a traffic stop after seeing two motorcyclists driving recklessly on Broadway, but the drivers fled. The officer did not pursue them, but the drivers continued north at a high rate of speed.

As one of the drivers crossed the railroad tracks near the 500 block of Broadway, she began to lose control of the cycle and a passenger began to fall and was dragged a short distance before she and the bicycle struck a parked car. The motorcyclist fled the scene but later returned to the scene.

Andrew Uglum, 30, of Fargo was arrested for fleeing a police officer and endangering himself.

The passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
