Conor McGregor Sport A new look after injury has abandoned UFC 303 fight with Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor is sporting a new look after his sudden UFC 303 withdrawal.

On June 29, the Irish megastar was scheduled to step back into the Octagon for the first time in nearly three years for a welterweight clash with former Bellator MMA champion “Iron” Michael Chandler. Unfortunately, that fight is no longer happening after McGregor pulled out due to an undisclosed injury, giving UFC fans a new main event for International Fight Week.

With no work to do in the gym, McGregor is spending Father’s Day with his family and sporting a new look, as seen in a series of new photos shared on the former two-division champion’s Instagram.

This certainly isn’t the first time ‘Mystic Mac’ has used the shaved head look, though we may have some questions about his choice of glasses.

With the exit of Conor McGregor, UFC 303 is getting a makeover

While the UFC has not made any official announcements, rumors persist that the promotion is looking to rebook McGregor vs. Chandler for some time in August or September.

Meanwhile, fans will be treated to a huge light heavyweight title tilt as reigning champion Alex Pereira enters the main event on 16 days’ notice to rematch his November 2023 showdown with the former title holder Jiri Prochazka.

In addition to Pereira vs. Prochazka 2, fans will also see the return of Brian Ortega as the former title contender takes on rising contender Diego Lopes. Also added to the card is 205-pounder Anthony ‘Lionheart Smith, who meets Carlos Ulberg after his original opponent, Jamahal Hill, withdrew due to injury.
